Day 1
Arrival at Peeran Retkeilykeskus by 5 pm. Taking lodgings. The rooms have wardrobes for your luggage (unpacking).
Dinner at 6 pm, after dinner introduction to the lodge and its activities, premises and surroundings (for example, the neighbouring reindeer farm). Walk to the sightseeing trek, with views of the snow-covered mountains in Sweden and Norway (the Scandinavian Mountains 1400-1800m) and the Lapp attractions, Ailakkavaara and Terbmisvaara hills, and our own Peera hill (933m). Sauna and getting ready for the night.
Day 2
Teaching period I. Excursion to the Helsinki University Biological Station; http://www.helsinki.fi/kilpis/
Advance booking obligatory. Introduction to the flora and fauna of the area, also living samples.
Teaching period II. Trip to Saana ca. 8 km, 2-3 hours.
Day 3
All-day trip to the Three Borders Boundary Stone (ca. 22 km in all) or to the Malla nature park; http://www.enontekio.fi/suomi/matkailu/malla.html . Nearby the boundary mark we stop at a shelter cabin for rest and packed lunch.

Day 4
Teaching period I. Excursion to a reindeer farm, Nils Matti Vasara, Jouni Antti Labba or the Keinovuopio Lapp village.
Teaching period II. Casting and hauling fishing nets on the lakes Peerajärvi and Kilpisjärvi. Campfires and Lapp initiation rituals.
Day 5

Teaching period II. Visit to the top of the Peera hill, day trip 16 km or to Arpujärvi in Sweden, 20 km.
Day 6
Norway. Trip to Skibotten or Tromsø; http://www.destinasjontromso.no/eng_default.htm
Fishing trip in the open sea, Maritime Museum in Tromsø.
Day 7 – 8
Overnight trip to the Ailakka shelter cabin, suitable for 6-12 persons. Advanced camping skills: equipment, cooking and spending the night out of doors. Fishing (artificial fly/ fishing rod with a reel) on the lake Ailakkajärvi.
Day 9
