TRADITIONAL KOLI
The hostel is situated nearby the Koli national park. Two ski slopes nearby. Surrounded by beautiful hill landscapes. Nearby the lake Pielinen.
Accommodation: The youth hostel is a former school building, several rooms for 2-6 persons and one room for 10 persons. A 60 sq m classroom.
Activities: In winter downhill skiing and cross-country skiing (ski-slope Ukko-Koli is 7 km away and ski-slope Loma-Koli 5 km away), in summer hiking along marked route, fishing, smoke sauna bathing, nature trails, berry-picking, mushroom-picking.
Excursions: Ukko-Koli heritage landscape, Bomba house, studio of artist Eeva Ryynänen, Koli national park and Heritage Centre Ukko, Koli museum of local history and culture, Nunnalahti steatite mine, open-air museum in Lieksa, Pielinen museum of local history and culture, Art Cafe Kolin Ryynänen, Taidetasku art gallery
Camp schools: We have long experience of arranging camp schools and confirmation classes. We can offer itineraries and full board for groups.
